History is almost always advanced by the visionaries willing to dream & act while the herd merely sleeps.
Why were the Hebrews so surprised by the sudden news that they would receive the Torah as a set of laws & a mission for the rest of humanity?
Rather than look to other nations for a better way to organize our state's political institutions, Israel must turn inwards & allow our history & traditions to guide us in establishing a more just society.
As they forced you to your knees, your heart soared to its purpose and called the words into the depths of all those children of her valleys,
to beat the drum of freedom

While it remains to be seen how the Netanyahu government will respond to the coup, this might just be the wake-up call that the people of Israel need.
