We hope you've recovered from the month of Tishrei and are entering Heshvan refreshed and ready for a year of growth. We'd like to kick off this year with some news, highlights, and a short survey that will help us improve and expand our programming this upcoming year.

~Recent developments at Vision~

New Doreinu chapters

With more and more online ATID graduates, the number of Doreinu post-college/young professional chapters is expanding rapidly throughout Israel & North America. In addition to our longstanding Boston and Toronto chapters, additional chapters are springing up in Jerusalem, New York & Los Angeles. Email info@doreinu.org to get involved.

Short-term guest podcasts

In addition to The Next State podcast, hosted by Rav Yehuda HaKohen, we've introduced additional mini-series by our friends, students, and supporters as well. Our first such podcast, hosted by Robert Goodman, follows Sefer Maccabim I, and can be found here.

Online courses and membership

In May, we launched the much-awaited Vision Courses - live online courses on a wide variety of topics connected to Vision's mission. Simultaneously, we created a Vision membership option that provides a number of great perks (including free access to Vision courses!) for a small monthly contribution that goes towards supporting our work.

~Vision's Short-Term Plans~

ATID Israel

After an almost three year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic, we are relaunching our Jerusalem-based ATID student leadership program this year, geared toward gap-year students studying in Israel. The student leadership program applies postcolonial tools to Jewish identity and empowers participants to become active participants in our current chapter of Jewish history. ATID is the only program that fully equips Jewish students with the knowledge and tools to deal with the many challenges they will face on North American campuses.

1st annual Israel gala

This upcoming Tevet, we plan to host our first-ever Doreinu Jerusalem gala in an effort to raise awareness about our movement and its activities, as well as garner support for our programming. The event is scheduled to be held at the Psagot winery in the beautiful northern Judean hills. Keep an eye out for more details soon!

Monthly Rosh Hodesh women's events

Next month, on Hag HaBanot, we hope to launch our monthly women's events, co-organized by the renowned women's spiritual guide Yarin Weltsman-Levenson and Doreinu Jerusalem. The women's events will combine a discussion led by Postcolonial Hebrew Feminism pioneer Sharona eshet-Kohen, and Weltsman-Levenson's TranscenDANCE, a cathartic dance journey of breath-work, movement, and meditation, that ignites connection, femininity, and wild power. More details coming soon!

Bi-annual virtual live seminars

This upcoming year we also plan to begin hosting bi-annual virtual seminars that will include panels, high-profile  keynote speakers, and breakout sessions on the most pressing topics pertaining to the Jewish People. The first seminar is tentatively scheduled for the month of Shvat. More details coming soon!

~Vision's Long-Term Goals~

Regional director positions

We are working to expand our budget to hire two part-time regional directors who will oversee the expansion and programming of young professional and campus chapters.

Expand our reach on social media

We are also raising funds to hire a part-time social media director to create an inspiring image for the Vision movement on various platforms, and to help us become the go-to expert resource on the topics of decolonizing Jewish identity, Torat Eretz Yisrael, Israeli political analysis, and our conflict with the Palestinians.

Trips to Israel

We hope to expand our manpower and budget to enable us to organize professionally-guided missions to Israel for university students, young professionals, community leaders, Vision organizers, and others.

Educational video content and online evergreen courses

We are on the lookout for supporters who would like to contribute to the production of educational videos and video courses on topics like Jewish identity, anti-Semitism, and our conflict with the Palestinians.

Think-tank fellowships

 We are also looking to establish a think-tank fellowship for producing theory and content on postcolonial Hebrew Feminism.
